UK PREVENT STRATEGY

The UK Prevent strategy is a key part of the government’s counter-terrorism approach that aims to stop people from becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism. It is a proactive safeguarding program designed to identify and support individuals at risk of radicalization, prevent them from being drawn into terrorism, and address the ideological challenges that can lead to extremism.

How training providers and employers can identify and support apprentices at risk of radicalisation?

  1. Delivering awareness sessions to apprentices regarding safeguarding and the dangers of radicalisation.
  2. Guaranteeing that employers prioritise the safety of all apprentices.
  3. Ensuring that apprentices and employers know how to raise any safeguarding concerns.
  4. Identifying any apprentice who may be suffering or likely to suffer significant harm.
